Ben Mestel: Noise eigenvalue for golden-mean circle-map renormalization
Abstract:
The renormalization theory of small amplitude noise for golden-mean circle maps is presented. The resulting scaling is governed by the expanding eigenvalue of a postive linear operator on a space of function pairs. Using the theory of Herglotz functions, existence and bounds for this eigenvalue are established.
