Carlangelo Liverani: Fine statistical properties of dynamical systems
Abstract:
The last few years have witnessed a joint effort to study the statistical properties of families of hyperbolic dynamical systems by extending the transfer operator approach, originally developed for expanding systems. This is achieved by devising appropriate Banach spaces whose norms encode the geometry of the dynamics. I will present some recent progress and current shortcomings in such an ongoing program.
