It is
classically known that expanding maps enjoy exponential mixing
(i.e. correlations of smooth observables decay like O(r^n)). Less well known are
(i) the factors which influence the precise exponential rate r,
(ii) simple explicit bounds on r.
In this talk I will present explicit and easily computable bounds on
r, which moreover indicate the factors influencing r.
This is joint work with Oscar Bandtlow.
