Mario di Bernardo:
Synchronisation and control of complex networks
Abstract:
The aim of this talk is to present new approaches to the synthesis
of synchronization and control strategies for complex networks of dynamical
systems. We will discuss the possible effects that different topological
features have on the
synchronizability of complex networks and present a novel adaptive approach
to achieve synchronization.
We will then move to the problem of designing control strategies in order
for all the oscillators in the network to exhibit some desired dynamics.
Pinning control strategies will be discussed and the concept of
controllability of networks via pinning will be introduced to characterise
the closed-loop network behaviour.
