Group leaders please be aware of timetable constraints when you agree with me by December 15th the 45min. slot that your group will use. Of course there is no lab and no lecture so most of you should be free for most of the morning (till 1pm).

    1. Please meet beforehand to agree order and topics when speaking. The only facilities will be white or black board and pens or chalk but you may give a brief handout to illustrate your talk. However you will be marked primarily for your oral presentation skills, normally between 1.5 and 3.5 out of 4 (converted to a percentage).

    2. It is ESSENTIAL that the group hands in the final report and questionnaire by the deadline on Tuesday 15th by 1015 so that a copy can be made for Dr. Coad who will also be at the orals (noone else except the rest of your group will be there!). You can refer to the final report or questionnaire in your talk.

    3. Please be there as a group say 10 minutes before the start time in case the previous group finishes early, and so that you are organised properly. Please enter the room together, and then ANNOUNCE YOUR NAME as each of you speaks individually. EACH INDIVIDUAL IN A GROUP MUST SPEAK FOR BETWEEN 4 AND 5 MINUTES

    4. If someone does not turn up, they will be marked zero (unless excused by the Pastoral tutor), and the group should be prepared for this!

    Practicals

Marks The overall mark for this course is a weighted average of the marks notified to you by email, and your exam mark (which counts 50%). If any mark is excused (E) then the weights are adjusted accordingly, but if not (N) the mark is zero.
