Daniele Petrone

Data Analyst, Quantitative Analyst, Entrepreneur

Education

Daniele studied Physics at Universita’ degli studi di Milano and in particular the transport properties of disordered mesoscopic systems using supersymmetric techniques. In one dimensional conductors an arbitrarily small disorder would localize the electron wave function, while, in three dimensions, the system undergoes a phase transitions conductor/ insulator.

Academic interests

Artificial intelligence, machine learning, cognitive systems, data analysis, system biology and quantum computation.

Hobbies

He is a keen Tango dancer and he trains Kung Fu regularly.

Applied exponential technologies

Daniele has been working for over twenty years as a professional consultant for top investment banks, including Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and UBS. He has applied artificial intelligence, machine learning and network theory techniques to complex financial systems and now he has turned his attention to problems at high societal impact. He is an entrepreneur interested in exponential technologies and in finding a root to market for innovative ideas and products. He is the CEO of Hyquant (www.hyquant.com), a company specialized in artificial intelligence and mathematical modelling and cofounder of Icefair, a startup that is focused on quantitative marketing (see for example the website www.youngerbee.com ).
