Jon Aaronson: Distributional limits in infinite ergodic theory
Distributional limits are important in infinite ergodic theory as a replacement for pointwise, absolutely normalized ergodic convergence(which fails). Different transformations have different distributional limits. After a general introduction, we'll consider `generalized Hajian-Ito-Kakutani transformations' which have as a limit the exponential χ2-distribution. Joint work with Omri Sarig.
