I am writing to let you know that the University of California, Santa
Barbara has an opening for a "Lecturer with Security of Employment" in its
"College of Creative Studies" Physics program. I'm certainly not qualified
to comment on the legalities, but this is a position with tenure-like
security of employment whose duties focus on teaching and recruiting.
Please forward this information to anyone who may be interested.
The College of Creative Studies is a program that attracts undergraduate
students of the highest caliber who are exceptionally motivated and
self-directed. Graduates routinely receive top fellowships to physics PhD
programs (e.g., Stanford University Chancellor's award.) Working with these
students is an amazing opporunity. See http://www.ccs.ucsb.edu/ for more
information.

As a member of the search committee, I would be happy to answer any
questions from prospective candidates.
