           ADVANCES IN THEORETICAL AND MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS

  A new journal has recently been launched by THE INTERNATIONAL PRESS,
based in Cambridge, MA. It is published both on line and in printed
version. It is devoted to a large number of topics in mathematical
physics and is aimed at bringing together physicists and mathematicians
working in common areas. The topics of interest include:

  * General Relativity * Analysis (applied to physics)
  * Field Theory * Symplectic Geometry
  * Quantum Gravity                   * Non-commutative Geometry
  * String Theory * Knot Theory

The Editorial Board consists of:

* Journal Coordinator: Costas Efthimiou
* Editors-in-Chief: A. Ashtekar and S.-T. Yau

* The optimum way of submitting a paper to the journal is by e-mail to:
  the Journal Coordinator:

         costas@math.harvard.edu the archive identifier

  Members of the Editorial Board can also select interesting papers,
  e.g. from the LANL archives. The Journal Coordinator then contacts the
  authors.

Papers that are submitted to the journal for publication are sent to
members of the Editorial Board for evaluation. These members can
either review the papers themselves or forward them to another
reviewer. The decision to accept the paper is made by the entire
Editorial Board. The referee process is expected to be quick.

All papers accepted for publication appear instantly on the electronic
version of the journal.
