Classical and Quantum Gravity (CQG) is delighted to announce the
online publication of a special issue featuring the proceedings of the
18th International Conference on General Relativity and Gravitation
and invited papers from the 7th Edoardo Amaldi Conference on
Gravitational Waves, Sydney, Australia, July 2007.

This special issue contains the overview articles by the plenary
speakers, the summaries of each GRG18 workshop parallel session as
provided by the workshop chairs, and the highlights of the Amaldi7
meeting as selected by the Amaldi7 chairs. It is essential reading for
