Research

I was Principal Investigator for the construction of the £36m VISTA the 'Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy' a 4m wide field survey telescope in Chile with infrared (ZYJHK_s) field of view of 1.5 sq deg with 0.34 arcsec pixels.

My research interests are Survey Astronomy & Low-Mass Star Formation & Dust grains with my observational experience being mainly in the InfraRed
