"Eigenvalue distribution for large non-Hermitian matrices"

Abstract: I shall discuss how simple potential theory arguments can be used to study the eigenvalue distribution of non-Hermitian
matrices in the limit of large matrix dimension. These ideas will  be illustarted on two examples: (i) Toeplitz matrices,  and (ii) random Jacobi matrices
