MAS232 Statistical Modelling I

School of Mathematical Sciences

Reading

The following books are recommended for this course. However, other books which you like and which cover the course material may also be good.

1.       Abraham, B. and Ledolter, J. Introduction to Regression Modelling. Duxbury.

2.       Draper and Smith. Applied Regression Analysis. Wiley.

3.       Krzanowski, W.J. An Intorduction to Statistical Modelling. Arnold.

4.       Neter, J., Kutner, M.H., Nachtsheim, C.J. and Wasserman, W. Applied Linear Statistical Models. Mc Graw Hill.

5.       Sen and Srivastava. Regression Analysis. Springer.

We will also use statistical tables. These are available in many textbooks, but you need to be familiar with the

New Cambridge Elementary Statistical Tables by Lindley and Scott (only this will be available at the exam)

You may also use on-line statistical texts; some useful links are given on the main course page.
