About the Post
The school of Mathematical Sciences is seeking to appoint a new School Manager. This post will provide strategic and operational direction for the School’s administrative infrastructure and services in supporting its research, teaching and administrative activities and related requirements, devising policy and advising the Head and the College accordingly. The post-holder will direct a team of expert professionals and will be a member of the School’s Management Committee and as such is expected to make a substantial contribution to the School’s strategic management and development.

Candidates will be required to have had substantial management experience, in a Higher Education environment, with experience of managing a diverse team of professional staff, and of financial planning and budgeting, resource management, operational and strategic planning and project management. They will have experience of working with senior management and considerable experience in supporting teaching and research within a research-active higher education department.
