The School of Physics and Astronomy and the School of Mathematical Sciences are seeking to jointly appoint a Recruitment and Outreach Manager. We wish to appoint a dynamic individual who will design and implement the recruitment and outreach plans for both schools.
The postholder will provide strategic direction for the Schools' national and international recruitment and will plan and deliver a series of outreach events both in secondary schools and at national public engagement events.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of innovation in recruitment and will demonstrate high levels of enthusiasm for both mathematics and physics.
The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of the HE sector and experience of developing and delivering outreach programmes in the mathematical and physical sciences. Applicants must be educated at least to degree level in either mathematics or physics.
This full-time, permanent position is available with a salary in the range £33,944-£39,936 per annum. Benefits include 30 days' annual leave plus 4 College closure days, an interest free season ticket loan and a defined benefit pension scheme.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
