The School of Mathematical Sciences has a very strong research presence across the spectrum of Pure and Applied Mathematics and Statistics. The School also has large and popular Undergraduate and Graduate Schools.
Applications are now invited for a Lecturer in Applied Mathematics/Financial Mathematics. We are seeking candidates with industrial experience in Financial Mathematics to support our new MSc in Mathematical Finance. Applicants should also have a strong record of original research in applied mathematics and/or research potential, and possess a commitment to high quality teaching and programme development.
The post is full time and permanent. The starting salary will be in the range of £37,669 - £46,938 per annum, subject to experience and qualifications. Benefits include 30 days' annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan. The post is available from January 2012 or soon thereafter.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
