The School of Mathematical Sciences is seeking to appoint a Finance and Facilities Officer. The postholder will manage, under the wider guidance and leadership of the School Manager, the financial activity of the School. As the School Safety Adviser you will also be expected to carry out the appropriate safety checks and will ensure that operational issues relating to estates, maintenance and the allocation of space are dealt with effectively and efficiently.Candidates will be required to have proven experience of financial administration, including the monitoring of budgets in a large or complex organisation, over the full financial cycle. Candidates should also have experience in enforcing, reporting and maintaining health and safety practices in the workplace. Experience of working with services providing support for estates, maintenance and hygiene is desirable.
This post is full-time and permanent. The starting salary will be in the range £30,500 - £35,824 inclusive of London allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
