Student Administration Team

Dr Vivien Easson, Executive Officer (Teaching and Research)
My role involves managing day-to-day administration and long-term strategy for the following strands of activity: teaching, learning and assessment for undergraduate and postgraduate students; admissions and marketing for prospective students; and student support, involving careers guidance, responding to feedback and quality assurance.
I previously spent a couple of years as a postdoctoral researcher working on three-dimensional manifolds and geometric group theory and another couple of years working as a project coordinator for a national mathematics outreach programme. If you have a complex problem relating to academic regulations you may wish to consult me as well as other staff in the School. I'm also happy to advise postgraduate students who are trying to decide whether to pursue an academic or non-academic career.
