Student Handbook 2011–12

Our student handbook is intended for both undergraduate and MSc students. You can read it as a PDF file [782 KB], in which the contents list, cross-references and URIs are all hyperlinked. A good way to find information on a specific topic is to search for a keyword (such as "resit") using your PDF reader's search facilities. The images are low resolution to minimise the file size – here is a readable version of the campus map.

You should also have received a printed copy of the handbook; if not then please ask in the Maths Office.

This handbook includes only what was "Part 3: General Guidance" in earlier Undergraduate Handbooks. The following undergraduate information is now available online only:

• module summary and details;
• key facts about exams;
• study programmes;
• subject stream diagrams.

Please note there have been some amendments since the production of the Handbook (concerning resit attempts and staff information). Please click here for full details.
