Applying and visiting us

Making An Application

We accept applications online through UCAS. We make a decision based solely on your UCAS application and we will not normally interview you. However, once you have received an offer you will be invited to attend one of our Visit Days. These run throughout the academic year. They give you a chance to meet some of our staff and students, hear about the School of Mathematical Sciences and the degree programmes we offer, take a tour of the campus guided by current undergraduates, and have the opportunity to ask questions informally. Further information on how to apply can be found on the College's Admissions pages.

Visit Us

There are different opportunities available throughout the year for you to visit us before you apply.

  1. There are two College Open Days: one in April and one in September. You can come along to meet our academics and current students and can find out more about our entry requirements and degree programmes. You can book online for both of these events and the dates of the next events can be found on the main College website.
  2. If you cannot make either of the Open Days, then you can also arrange a campus tour at any time throughout the year.
  3. We also run a variety of taster courses giving you the opportunity to spend the day on campus and experience life as a mathematics undergraduate. You will attend first year lectures and meet current students. You can view our taster programme here.

Visitors are welcomed to our Open Day by Principal Professor Simon Gaskell and groups are taken on tours of the campus by student ambassadors.
