MPhil in Computational Biology at the University of Cambridge

We are currently accepting applications for the MPhil in Computational
Biology. Our closing date is likely to be the end of April and we would
encourage prospective applicants to apply sooner rather than later.

This is an eleven month course which aims to introduce students to
bioinformatics and other quantitative aspects of modern biology and
medicine. You can find further details of the course content on our
website at http://www.ccbi.cam.ac.uk/Education/MPhil/

The minimum entry requirement for this course is an upper second class
degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. This could include
mathematics, computing, natural sciences or medicine and biology. The
majority of students from our first intake have gone on to study for
PhDs. This is an interdisciplinary course which will suit someone who
is an all-rounder with an interest in mathematics, computing and
biology.

Open Afternoon

We are holding an Open Afternoon on Wednesday 17th February for the
course at the CMS. For further details please go to
http://www.ccbi.cam.ac.uk/Education/MPhil/OpenDay.php This will give
you an opportunity to find out more about the course and meet the
teaching staff and students. Anyone is welcome to come along but
please register if you wish to do so.

This an exciting and fast-changing area of science and career prospects
for well qualified applicants in this field are generally thought to
be good.
