GATE (Graduate Attributes Training Event) Tues 15, 22, 29 November, 5-7pm,

The School of Physics and Astronomy with Mathematical Sciences are holding a series of 3 events that are designed to develop your skills further to complement and build on those acquired in your degree programme such as:

- presenting in a professional way

- negotiating/influencing

- team-working

- time-management

- interpreting and analysing data in an employment context

- reflection and self development

Each of the three sessions will cover different skills, and by booking you are committing to attend all three of the sessions that run on a weekly basis on the Tuesday evening between 5-7pm.  Each session will be held in:

- Tuesday 15th November Francis Bancroft room 404

- Tuesday 22nd November Francis Bancroft room 404

These skills are highly sought after by ALL employers and in addition are extremely useful attributes to acquire in your future life after Queen Mary.

You can mention that you attended this event on your CV!

You will work together in teams to solve puzzles and problems in a fun interactive way and in the final session will give a presentation with a prize for the winning team! The event will be judged by 3 judges two of whom are external to Queen Mary and will be representing Proctor and Gamble and Matchtech.

These events are going to be popular and numbers are limited so please respond quickly to avoid disappointment.  We will not be able to accommodate new arrivals on the day as you need to pre-register for these events.  As spaces are limited this event is on a first come first serve basis.

To attend these events please register with Norman McBreen by emailing n.mcbreen@qmul.ac.uk with your name, student ID, school and year group.
