Scholarships

Queen Mary University of London is proud of the number of scholarship opportunities that are available for our International student body each year. These scholarships are funded by both the Institution itself or by one of our partner organisations such as Chevening, the Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme or numerous overseas Government funders with whom Queen Mary has strong links.

The scholarship opportunities currently available in the School of Mathematical Sciences are:

How do I apply for funding?

There is no need to complete a separate application form to be considered for any of the Mathematical Sciences Scholarships listed above (excluding Chevening Scholarships). Students will be considered for an award on the basis of the information they provide in their online application to Queen Mary University of London.

Successful candidates will be informed of their award via email.

Please note School scholarships are subject to university-wide Terms and Conditions as well as any course/School/Faculty conditions or criteria outline.

The majority of our scholarships are competitive and as such students will need to have achieved grades equivalent to a UK First Class or Upper Second Class Bachelor’s degree or an overseas equivalent to be considered. For overseas equivalents please refer to the link below.

Professional and Career Development Loans (Home and EU students)

Postgraduate students wishing to undertake certain vocational courses who cannot obtain alternative funding may borrow a maximum of £10,280. Repayments are delayed and the Government pays the interest during the course and for one month afterwards. Details can be found on the Directgov website.
