Welcome to the Admissions section of the School of Mathematical Sciences

In the pages you will find contact details where you can find more information on the programmes on offer. Alternatively, you can talk to us in person. Although the programmes described on these pages vary widely in content and form, they share a common philosophy. We want to challenge you, but at the same time provide you with the support required to meet that challenge. Rather than make the course easier we prefer to give you a hand up.

New Students

Queen Mary University of London have now launched our new website for all new students. the Induction pages give you all the information that you require about the induction process, this includes how to enrol, get your student card, what you need to know and your personal induction programme for each study programme. Undergraduate programmes

The School offers BSc and MSci degree programmes covering the key areas of Mathematics, Statistics and Astrophysics, together with combined programmes involving Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computing, Physics and Psychology. It is possible to spend the second year of any programme studying abroad. For details please consult the "Undergraduate programmes" submenu item on the left.

Taught postgraduate programmes

We offer taught PG programmes covering a wide range of topics. For the MSc in Mathematics (including the option to take modules in statistics) head to "MSc Maths/Stats". Under "MSc Astrophysics" you will find the programmes related to Astrophysics, in particular: MSc in Astrophysics (full-time and part-time), Diploma in Astrophysics (full-time and part-time), Postgraduate Certificate in Astronomy and Astrophysics (part-time), MSc Physics (EuroMasters). In addition, we are happy to talk to you in person at a Postgraduate Open Evening.

PhD programmes

We offer research PG programmes, covering a wide range of topics in Mathematics, Statistics, and Astrophysics. Please consult the "PhD/MPhil" menu items for further details.
