On 24th February 2016 our very own Dr Shabnam Beheshti, Lecturer in Mathematics at QMUL will be delivering an interesting talk at the Hampstead Gardens Suburb (HGS) Astronomical Society on “Einstein’s (Mathematical) Legacy: Past and Present”. The talk will take place in the Free Church Hall Oriel Room near Golders Green at 19:30.
During her talk, Dr Beheshti will look at how the 100 years following the discovery of Einstein’s Equations, elegant interplay between mathematics and physics has shaped modern cosmology and provided the framework for astounding results from observational astronomy. This will include a tour of key discoveries and conjectures from these disciplines and contemplate what the next 100 years might reveal.
