The Centre for Discrete Mathematics acts as an umbrella within the department which hosts and supports all activities raleated with the large remit of any aspect of discrete mathematics.

  • Discrete Mathematics Interdisciplinary Seminar

Each seminar is normally folowed by a RECEPTION in the Maths School Foyer.

    The London Combinatorics Colloquia 2014, LSE

    The London Combinatorics Colloquia 2014 will be held on 14 and 15 May. Six speakers will give talks at Queen Mary University of London on Wednesday 14 May with a further six speakers on Thursday 15 May at LSE, please see the Colloquium page for more information including speakers and titles.     The School of Mathematical Sciences hosts and the Centre for Discrete Mathematics proudly announces the 66-th installment. of the largest annual Pure Mathematics conference in the UK, BMC 2014.

Peter Keevash (Oxford University) , formerly Director of the Centre for Discrete Mathematics, QMUL, has recently released a preprint establishing the existence of block designs with arbitary parameters, answering a 150-year old conjecture by Steiner.
