Brief description of the main theme of this meeting:
This workshop aims to bring together people from the different fields of dynamical systems, stochastic theory, cold-atom physics and statistical physics, both theorists and experimentalists, to combine their expertise in order to summarize the state-of-the-art, and identify new directions, in the study of anomalous transport in nonlinear lattices. Many different aspects of the problems will be considered, such as transport in chaotic systems, anomalous diffusion, superstatistics, and quantum theoretical descriptions.
Postdocs and PhD students from different backgrounds will be strongly encouraged to participate. In this way, they will have the opportunity to learn about the different aspects of the workshop topic, and they will hear from experts in the field what the challenges of the future are. We also expect a significant attendance from senior researchers, mostly from the London area, active in the study of such systems. The interaction with other researchers will also allow the participants to identify common research interests and initiate new collaborations.
