Abstract Kramer: Energy transfer in photosynthetic complexes: disorder, noise and coherence
I discuss the modeling of energy flow in photosynthetic apparatus, with
an emphasis on the comparison of theoretical predictions for time and
frequency resolved spectroscopy with experimental data. Using an
efficiently accelerated implementation of the hierarchical equations of
motion (HEOM) method allows one to discuss different light harvesting
systems with different couplings of electronic and vibrational degrees
of freedom [2] and to elucidate the excitation pathways.
